The Retail business within Honeywell Industrial Safety brings a wide range of outstanding personal protective and footwear products to the retail market. We are seeking to a Graphics Designer to join our Retail Safety Products team based in Smithfield, RI.
As a Graphics Designer you will:
Develop, coordinate, and execute visual design of print, online, and other media deliverables in support of corporate communications strategies.
Individually develop illustrations, artwork, photographs, book designs, and other visual design elements.
Coordinate production of deliverables with external service providers, preparing digital files, directing and monitoring production efforts, and negotiating cost issues to ensure deliverables meet standards and are within budget.
Coordinate with and reports to the Marketing manager in the execution of these responsibilities.
Maintain awareness of and expertise in existing markets, software and hardware design trends, and technology for the creation and delivery of communications
Basic
Qualifications:
BA or AA degree in related field (Arts,Fine Arts, Visual Design, web development, etc.).
Minimum 2 years' experience as a graphicdesigner or illustrator, with proven project management and creative skills.Portfolio of past work required.
Additional
Qualifications:
Strong workingknowledge of printing, publishing, electronic/Web-based publishing, and/orgraphics art procedures and related computer software. May require experiencemanaging to a budget and the ability to work with a variety of simultaneous projectsand vendors.
Ability to effectively present information tomanagement and groups.
Technical expertise including: expertise withcurrent publishing and electronic delivery tools and technologies; good workingknowledge of project management tools (MS Project); good working knowledge ofthe Internet, electronic, and audio/visual communication.
Retail and creative agency experience highlydesirable.
