This is a Merchandising position responsible for managing complex categories in relation to inventory management, quality management, PO placement, and providing local market intelligence to SBS planning organization. This role is also responsible for executing on the category management initiative.

Responsible for taking strategic action for complex lines
Responsible for management of forecasting and planning alerts for highly profitable items
Responsible for replenishment of items assigned to meet service level and inventory expections
Identifies and orders "fill-in" products as needed.
Communicates and collaborates with the SBS planning organization (i.e. local market demand)
Helps maintain purchasing master data quality (lead time, order groups, etc.)
Bachelor's degree or at least four years equivalent combination of education and business experience
Strong computer skills; specifically in spreadsheet applications (preferable Microsoft Office applications); word processing and strong proficiency with Excel required
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task and react quickly to an ever changing environment
Experience in procurement, replenishment, or merchandising preferred; ideally in the foodservice industry
Experience working with automated purchasing systems highly preferrred

To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
