Summary: The program manager position oversees and coordinates new program launches. The position is a key member of a launch team providing the organization function. A typical launch for this position would include all the steps from site selection through PPAP of the production intent processes and hand off to the production team. A typical program launch is a 12 - 18 month process. The program manager organizes and tracks program progress. The position ensures the launch team delivers a completed project on time. The position is the primary face of Bodycote to the customer. As such, the position requires a professional appearance and professional disposition.
Through a Master Timeline jointly developed with the launch team, customer and critical suppliers, the position oversees and coordinates:
1. Securing government, state and local incentives if available
2. Working with internal engineering, and contractors, equipment and process suppliers
3. Coordination of supporting activities from internal company departments like Quality, Safety, IT, etc.,
4. Managing Contract Review and other Advanced Quality Planning steps utilizing AIAG and other formats,
5. Developing launch level process flow, control plans and similar APQP documentation up to PPAP,
6. Managing the transition from launch to the hand off to a long term production team,
7. Managing the processing of development, beta, run-off, validation and any other similar prototype work from start, through work scope. This includes purchase order review (prototype and production) and securing proper documentation of work performed,
8. Ensures the Bodycote launch team (financial, engineering, management) is aware of timeline requirements and flag areas of concern.
9. The position considers the BMS requirements that apply, including APQP and other launch specific items.
10. The position may require technical presentations of program status, tested results, etc. in large group environments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Establish, prioritize and maintain Master Timeline
Establish regular meetings with various stakeholders including customers and suppliers to ensure project stays on track.
Travel to customer and supplier locations for update meetings, run-offs of equipment, etc.
Manage prototyping
Manage APQP and supporting documentation
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
Education: Bachelor's Degree (Technical Degree Preferred)
Experience Necessary: Minimum 5 years in plant management, general management or quality management. Some sales experience preferred. Experience with metallurgical laboratory equipment and metallurgical evaluation preferred.
Reading blueprint specifications and writing metallurgical reports required.
Must have good knowledge of computer applications, basic math and accurate typing skills. Computer programs required include: Microsoft project, word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, and adobe.
Must be able to multi-task, self-motivated and detail oriented
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate in English orally and in writing. Spanish or other languages a plus.
Must be able to deal professionally and pleasantly over the phone and in person with all stakeholders - getting along with people while remaining assertive is important.
Position requires flexibility with work schedule. Weekend work may be required for certain projects.
Travel required (50-75%).
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, and interact professionally with co-workers.
Must be able to maintain professional disposition in front of customers and other stakeholders while under pressure or in intense meetings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
