We are looking for a Mechanical Technician with mechanical and electrical aptitude to support the Mechanical Team and others in various duties.
The Mechanical Technician role plays is crucial in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and disassemble mechanical equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functionality.
Inspect and troubleshoot machinery for defects and malfunctions.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with precision.
Replace faulty components and parts.
Perform preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Work closely with engineers and other technicians to address complex issues.
Conduct tests and calibrations to ensure accurate performance.
Make adjustments to optimize equipment functionality.
Skills & Requirements:
Familiarity with and ability to read blueprints, and manuals.
Familiarity with and ability to use electrical equipment and hand tools.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Solid electrical aptitude and mathematical abilities appropriate to the position.
Adhere to all quality and safety rules.
Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and working in various conditions.
May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment.
Required Experience and/or Education:
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Certification:
Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical technology.
Years of
Experience:
2 -4 years in relevant experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting.
