Quality Control Associate

Vault Manufacturing Vault Manufacturing Canton, MI Canton, MI $17 an hour $17 an hour Shift:
2nd shift, but will train on 1st shift for 2 weeks (may be less if picked up quickly).
Pay:
While training on 1st shift- $16/hr - but when done with training go to 2nd- $17/hr ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Responsible for physical containment of suspect or defective product promptly.
Measures and tests products and calculates data concerning materials, products, or process quality and reliability.
Performs fixture and gauge checks, destruct testing, and process capability testing.
Ensures quality check sheets and red tags are available and completed.
Follow up and record sort/rework/scrap results and communicate issues or effectiveness of countermeasure activity.
Create and communicate Quality Alerts with required documentation.
Post completed Quality Alerts at designated areas.
Establish a clean point for suspect product and ensure the product is appropriately identified with IPP or other customer-required certification tags for shipment to customers.
Monitor and audit processes for adherence to procedures and report to the manager of the affected department for follow-up (i.
e.
Quality checks complete, use of tip covers, sensor use, die set up, checking tools available, etc.
).
Responsible to maintain 3S throughout the plant.
Communicate with suppliers about nonconformances and countermeasure activity.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Previous experience as a quality technician in automotive manufacturing or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
