Inside Sales Representative (Horticulture)

We are an expanding company supplying the horticultural industry in the United States and Canada, looking for additional individuals to fill a position on our sales team in Canton, MI.
Our client base includes greenhouse vegetables, greenhouse flowers, nurseries, and golf courses.
Products and services sold by the company include integrated pest management products, plant nutrition, innovative consumables, and seed.
The expectations for this position are that you work out of our office in Canton, MI full time with occasional travel to visit accounts.
What you'll do Provide technical support for greenhouse plant nutrition and crop protection strategies Call and follow-up with current customers to maintain and expand sales Receive (calls, emails or through website) and evaluate new sales leads and refer qualified prospects to traveling sales representatives when appropriate Coordinate/communicate with other Plant Products sales representatives and other staff when necessary to ensure high-quality customer service Develop and maintain accurate customer records (crops, acreage, products used, contact information, etc) Answer questions concerning products such as price and credit terms Achieve sales growth annually Who you are Understanding of nutrition, pests, diseases, and greenhouse best practices Strong communicator, who thrives in collaborative environments Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) What you've done Post-secondary education in related field Background in greenhouse industry or previous agricultural experience What we offer Health benefits Learning and development opportunities Retirement savings matching Supportive environment Recommended Skills Communication Customer Service Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Power Point Microsoft Word Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
